Why are you in private beta if I can see pricing?
We're finalising the pricing model with feedback from our first cohort. These numbers are our current best guess — whoever signs up now locks in that rate for life.
How does student verification work?
You sign up with a .edu or verified academic email address. If your institution doesn't use a .edu domain (common in Europe), we accept scanned student IDs, ISIC cards or a one-off verification email from your faculty.
What happens to my notebooks if I cancel Pro?
Your notebooks stay on your device and in the Free tier. You keep the first three; the rest become read-only until you resubscribe or export them. Nothing is ever deleted without your explicit action.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes — 30 days, no questions asked, on monthly and annual plans. Email support@fluera.dev from the address you signed up with.
Can I self-host Fluera?
The local-first part already runs fully offline on all six platforms. Cloud sync self-hosting is on the Education roadmap (on-prem, SSO, audit log) — not yet available in Phase 1.
Do you offer discounts for researchers or non-profits?
Yes. Research labs, PhD programs and registered non-profits can apply at /contact — we typically grant Pro at the Student rate or free in exchange for feedback.
Why no free trial of Pro?
The Free tier isn't crippled marketing — it's the full canvas. Use it as long as you need. Pro unlocks AI and sync, which are ongoing cloud costs we can't give for free.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit cards via Stripe (all major brands), SEPA direct debit for EU customers, and Apple Pay / Google Pay. Education customers can pay by bank transfer or purchase order.

We run pilots with universities one cohort at a time. Free for the first semester, in exchange for structured feedback from your students.
